Team India, playing the Asia Cup in the UAE, has suffered a major setback in the middle of the tournament. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remaining matches due to injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given this information by issuing a statement. Jadeja played an innings of 35 runs in the match against Pakistan, showing a brilliant game with the bat.
“The All India Selection Committee has named Axar Patel in place of Ravindra Jadeja for the ongoing Asia Cup,” the BCCI said. Ravindra Jadeja has injured his right knee and has been ruled out of the tournament. He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. His replacement Axar Patel who was earlier named as a standby in the team will soon join the squad in Dubai.
